Ali Chengeta

Ali is a passionate and innovative learning and organisational development consultant and strategist with extensive experience leading teams to co-design, codevelop and co-deliver, with clients and stakeholders, human-centred HRD solutions which are aligned to neuroscience and organisational strategic orientations.

Ali has over 3 decades' experience in learning and organisation development. Ali graduated from the University of Zimbabwe with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986. He briefly worked as a High School teacher before before becoming a lecturer in Polytechnic at the start of the 90s.

After lecturing for 11 years, Ali migrated to Melbourne, the Victorian State capital, Australia in 2002. He started of his career in Australia as a Workplace Trainer and Assessor in Australia's vocational education and training (VET) system. He has since held the following positions in not-for-profit, Victorian State Government Agencies and the Victorian Public Service:

• Education Officer - Royal District Nursing Services (now Bolton Clarke), a leader in the home and community care services and research institute.

• Learning and Development Consultant - WorkSafe Victoria, the Victorian state's work health and safety regulator and workplace injury insurance scheme underwriter.

• Learning and Orgnisational Strategist - Magistrates' Courts of Victoria, a primary court and Court Services Victoria's largest jurisdiction.

• Senior Learning and Development Advisor - Employment, Investment and Trade, Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources - superseded.

• Manager, Risk, Compliance and Workforce Strategy, Agriculture Victoria, Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions - superseded.

• Manager Organisational Development and Culture - People and Culture, Corporate Services, Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions.

• Manager, Organisational Capability - People and Culture, Corporate Services, Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action.

Ali has a passion for using design thinking and human-centred design approaches to develop innovative solutions that put people first. He is a specialist in providing the following services to businesses:

• Workshop facilitation, F2F, remote webinars and podcasts

• learning experience designing/instructional designing - development of eLearning modules (including video vignettes and animations), participant guides, assessment guides, facilitator guides and PowerPoint Presentations

• organisational development solutions including human aspects of change and changes to organisation design including job design, performance management, culture and team building, and

• developing capability development, talent management and mandatory compliance management frameworks.
